Your duties will primarily revolve around the maintenance and the evolution of our current package-based solutions. For each evolution or requested change, you will elaborate the technical solutions that meet the functional needs of the customer, modify the software (and writing code), fix the errors, improve performance and upgrade the interfaces. You will also be involved in directing unit and system testing and validation procedures. In many cases, the projects will be executed by or with the help of external consultants who are specialised in the packages. You will be in charge of onboarding them in our context, following their progress and assessing their deliverables.

Your responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and evolution of the package solution (document management, CRM, OCR, document Editing)
  • Working closely with software external consultants specialized in the packages that we are using (onboarding of external consultants, following their progress, performing quality control on their deliveries)
  • Customize and integrate software packages
  • Analyse functional requirements and convert requirements to design documents
  • Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges
  • Develop/modify and implement new/existing software programs
  • Organise and perform unit and integration test.
  • Verify and deploy programs
  • Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
  • Gather and evaluate users’ feedback
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
  • Recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related education, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as technical analyst and software developer
  • Knowledge of various development languages like Java, .NET, C#
  • Knowledge of various database technologies like SQL Server, MySQL, …
  • Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications
  • Eagerness to learn new programming languages and technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting aptitude
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing technical environments and projects
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills (spread info/knowledge)
  • Good knowledge of French and English (spoken, written). Be able to work with English speaking consultants or colleagues from other entities of the Athora group.
  • Knowledge of Captiva-Documentum (Opentext) is a plus
