The Renewable energy sector of John Cockerill is one of the world leaders in the field with solutions addressing the Energy transition.
This now includes solar concentration power plants, microgrids with energy management systems and electric batteries, and hydrogen production and distribution solutions.
Context of need
John Cockerill Hydrogen, the Division responsible for Hydrogen solutions is the world leader in water electrolysis. With the largest number of large scale references, we are rapidly expanding our business worldwide to fulfill the ambitious goals of the many countries wanting to reach a carbon neutral economy. This involves large investments in research and development, new manufacturing facilities and partnerships with key actors.
In order to sustain its leadership position and worldwide deployment in this fast moving market, John Cockerill Hydrogen is recruiting a Partnership Development Manager (M / F) to support its growth.
Main duties
  • Lead the deployment process of our hydrogen activities worldwide including negotiations leading to partnership/JV agreements
  • Coordinate in close relationship with the John Cockerill Hydrogen origination team and the sales & proposal team, the development of new market opportunities
  • Support the implementation of the joint ventures for both market share development and setup of manufacturing facilities when applicable
  • Coordinate with the John Cockerill Hydrogen manufacturing team and other Group sectors the definition and implementation of equipment workshops when the joint ventures concluded with Partners worldwide include manufacturing
  • Work closely with John Cockerill legal team and other legal firms to setup JV agreements
  • More generally, lead and coordinate actions until Joint Ventures are fully operational
  • Participate to the market and competitive analysis as requested

Profile

Master’s degree in business or engineering
  • Experience: 5+ years, with a solid project management ability
  • Strong leadership & management skills; ability to balance & prioritize competing interests.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business relationships quickly, to negotiate and to close business opportunities
  • Ability to write and negotiate partnership agreements and other contractual documents
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to cultivate business and personal relationships with partners
  • Ability to interact professionally and collegially with cross-functional internal teams
  • Entrepreneurial and result oriented
  • Ability to travel significantly (40+%) to visit partners or potential partners, or other travel to support business needs
  • Languages : English, French ; other languages are a plus
