As HSE Manager you develop and implement the Health, Safety & Environment policy in alignment with the HSE Strategy of Hydro Group.

Your role is to :
  • Identify risks in the work place related to labour safety, occupational health & mental wellbeing.
  • Analyse incidents, near misses (Root Cause Analysis) and propose sound and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Manage HSE in cooperation with local management as to guarantee compliance with EU and National rules & regulations, Group policies & procedures.
  • Collect and manage HSE data for KPI reporting purposes.
  • Improve safety and health by promoting and recommending preventive and/or protective means in process installations, machinery and workplace lay-outs.
  • Develop and perform specific HSE training sessions (technical & behavioural)
  • Organize and perform internal cross audits and ensure continuous improvement of the HSE management systems in place.
  • Share and propose new working methods, best available techniques and practices
  • Coordinate and implement different HSE projects for shopfloor and office people

Who you are :
  • You are passionate and have a proven track record in project management around various HSE related topics. You hold a Bachelor or Master degree preferably in a technical background with additional specialization in Safety (Preventie-Adviseur level 2).
  • Your strengths lie in defining and deploying a vision and being a great inspirator and ambassador. You have strong communication skills (English and Dutch) adaptable to the public involved.
  • You know how to operate locally and being part of an international group at the same time
