Our people are our most valuable asset. To support and reinforce our Finance team we are looking for a Procurement Controller.

Mission and Key Tasks

Ontex has centralised procurement activities at its headquarters in Erembodegem, Aalst. The procurement controller will support and challenge the VP procurement Director, the global procurement team and the Group and operations finance team.

Main responsibilities
  • Analyse and Report monthly on Purchase Price Variance, forecast PPV and budget PPV.
  • Act as a key business partner for the global SC community
  • Act as finance lead on procurement projects
  • Lead budget process for procurement
  • Keep track of procurement saving projects
  • Keep track of the index evolution of commodities and calculate impact on raw material pricing
  • Keep track of foreign currency evolution and calculate impact on purchase prices
  • Keep track of commodity hedging and impact on Ebitda
  • Keep track of vendor rebate agreements, calculate rebate / discount provisions
  • Evaluate suppliers (financial stability, creditworthiness,…)
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, R&D,HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing,…) to deliver value on all levels of the organisation.
  • Support local finance teams, work in close interaction with Supply chain controller, and manufacturing controller
Background and Experience
  • Master in business economics or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience preferably in an industrial environment or BIG4
  • Hands-on, result oriented and pragmatic
  • Takes ownership by always delivering what is promised on time and to the quality standards agreed
  • Analytical thinking: breaks complex problems (or processes or projects) into component parts and considers or organizes parts in a systematic way
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SAP/BW is an asset
  • Eager to work in an international environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English, the knowledge of any other language is an important asset
