Your team

Within the Directorate European Civil-Military Aviation , the Aviation Intelligence & Performance Review Unit is responsible for leveraging EUROCONTROL data and analytical insights to promote Agency’s expertise and coordinating the activities of the Business Intelligence and Statistics Service towards the achievement of the overall objectives of DECMA and achieving synergies.

Your role

Your role will be to:

  • Support managers in coordinating and managing projects from inception to completion (including staff and budget planning and execution).
  • Assist in the creation and adherence to project timelines / calendars, follow-up on activities and escalate issues to project managers.
  • Maintain and improve reporting to track KPIs and status of work programmes, monitor effort and resources, time sheets, etc. in order to provide project status updates and reports.
  • Develop and maintain projects risk register and communication plan (ie: presentations, contribution to reports, webpages, etc.).
  • Track progress on deliverables, manage delivery processes, maintain all project documentation and act as administrator of the service’s document management system.
  • Assist the Head of Service in planning the resources and tracking the execution of the work programme, including the follow up of financial aspects.
  • Support with the development and application of quality management processes across the entire service (incl. proofreading of documentation in English, data checks, formatting).
  • Edit and /or correct key deliverables in coordination with the relevant managers.
  • Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • Post secondary education in a relevant domain and appropriate professional experience of 3 years or completed university studies of at least 3 years in a relevant domain and appropriate professional experience of 1 year.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience to carry out the advertised responsibilities.
  • Project management skills, including experience in using project management tools such as AMS, PMS, MS Project.
  • Experience or knowledge in financial aspects related to project management activities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
  • Understanding of EU processes and in particular in relation to the performance scheme of the Single European Sky (SES) would be an asset.
  • English drafting skills.

  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1/C2, and basic users of French at level A1/A2. The levels relate to the Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

Useful information

  • The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 3 Year (s) pursuant to the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. The contract may be renewed. Before being established in the post, he/she will be requested to provide certified copies of his/her degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months.
  • The successful candidate shall be appointed in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades.
  • In case of reserve list: Suitable candidates, however not selected to fill the post, will be placed on a reserve list for similar functions. The period of validity of reserve list is 1 year from the closing date of applications.
