You at AGC’s Technovation Centre – Automotive Transformation department

• You will be based at the Technovation Centre in Gosselies close to Brussels (Belgium) where research & development, engineering and IP activities are centralized under one roof with 280 people passionate about glass.
• You will join our Automotive Transformation Department - a team of approximately 40 people passionate about developing glass product applications (windshield, rear window, sunroof, etc.) and solutions related to autonomous driving and advanced assistance driving systems. The team is organized around 2 departments, from project management to product validation. It focuses mainly on new product developments for the OEM.

Your mission

We are looking for a researcher with project leading skills to deal with new technologies and new automotive glass product development. With a specific focus on green branded projects such as recyclable enamels and energy saving products. Main tasks:

• Defining general roadmap
• Defining project/customer needs including LCA assessment (integration of recyclability and environmental impact in the early phases of the project)
• Budget and resource allocation
• Coordinating different stakeholders (inside and outside AGC)
• Strong affinity with industrial and operational processes – enjoys being on the field

Your profile

• Science lover with very good academic results: civil engineering, master or PHD in chemistry, material sciences or related field with potential specialization in environmental topics.
• Self-starter with a good helicopter view, able to think of and manage the different stages of a project and meeting deadlines

As an allrounder you also recognize yourself in the following:

• A born project manager: good at coordinating, structuring, setting a pace, following up on deliverables at different steps of a project process
• Multi tasker, able to meet deadlines and manage different projects
• Curious with a bias for action
• Troubleshooter with analytical skills
• Efficient communicator in multicultural environments: presentations, reports, discussions, negotiations.
• Strong logical mind – yet creative and entrepreneurial with an agile spirit
• Hungry for learning and growth
• Able to elaborate, test, and propose new concepts autonomously
• Fluent in English (essential). Knowledge of French is a plus.
