Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

In a world where healthy soils underpin liveable cities, resilient blue-green networks and future-proof developments, your leadership can make all the difference. At Amaris Consulting, you’ll coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers, geologists, biologists and environmental specialists—our “greenmakers” and “redevelopment architects”—to turn complex soil challenges into practical, sustainable solutions.

What you’ll do

Business Development

Proactively identify and pursue new project opportunities in soil remediation, brownfield redevelopment and ecosystem-service planning
Grow and maintain relationships with public- and private-sector clients, responding to evolving environmental and regulatory demands
Collaborate on interdisciplinary proposals—helping define scope, deliverables and commercial terms with stakeholders

Coaching & Leadership

Serve as the trusted advisor for project leaders on planning, resourcing, budgeting and technical content
Mentor and guide team members through project execution, from PFAS assessments to soil-biodiversity studies
Maintain an overview of multiple projects, spot bottlenecks early and propose pragmatic improvements

Project & Client Management

Own end-to-end delivery: ensure projects run on time, within budget and to the highest technical and quality standards
Report regularly on project status, revenue and margins to senior management
Act as the principal client contact—responsible for both the scientific content and financial performance of your portfolio

Innovation & Market Insight

Track market and regulatory trends in soil health, SDG 15 (Life on Land), blue-green infrastructure and climate adaptation
Champion innovation by identifying unmet client needs and piloting new methods or tools
Co-manage the sales funnel with Lead Sales and Marketing colleagues to launch cutting-edge soil-centric services

What you bring

You are an experienced engineer or environmental professional with strong domain knowledge and a proven track record in consulting and client advisory;
You are entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and enjoy solving complex challenges;
You combine structure, common sense, and pragmatic execution with good financial insight and strong people management;
You are resilient, hands-on, and thrive under pressure;
You have a sharp eye for market opportunities and know how to convince and lead;
You are a no-nonsense communicator: straightforward, clear, and reliable
You have an excellent command of Dutch, French and English
