????Job description:

We are aBelgian Engineering Consultingfirm that assists SMEs and large industrial organizations in bringing theirinnovation and R&D initiativesto life.

Our client active in the automotive sector and located in Flanders is looking for a skilled Test Project Engineer to strengthen the Verification and Validation Team.

????Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As Project Test Engineer you are responsible for drawing up and carrying out functional tests and endurance tests (24/7) of transmissions and components on electrical, hydraulic and diesel test systems. You ensure that the test activities run smoothly, with an eye for safety and the success of the product.
  • You analyze the test specifications and define the required test conditions and setups, taking into account the planning and available resources.
  • You coordinate and participate in the construction or conversion of the test system and the instrumentation of the test object.
  • Where necessary, you design frames and tools based on a 3D drawing package and follow up the purchase of the pieces to realize the test setups.
  • You analyze and interpret the measurement results / observations and build up in-depth knowledge.
  • Report on the outcome and associated administration accurately and share it with the test applicant in accordance with the applicable procedures.
  • You report to the V&V team lead and work together with, and on behalf of, engineering and production (both in Belgium, in Italy, Hungary and China), as well as external research centers, universities and customers.
  • You can commute to Bruges 5days/week: 100% onsite

????Qualifications and Profile:

  • You have a Master’s degree in electromechanics or automotive engineering. Interest in vehicle propulsion, both conventional and hybrid/electric.
  • You are a hands-on and all-round engineer who works analytically, accurately, qualitatively and on a project basis. Takes initiative, acts problem-solving / persistent and can independently carry out assignments / test projects from concept to delivery.
  • As a real team player you can easily make contact.
  • You are fluent in English. Experience or affinity with 3D drawing packages is an added value. Experience with Matlab is a plus.
