For our client in the region of Evere, we are looking for a QA Test Engineer.

The Value Chain IT team is looking for a quality tester in order to ensure the quality of the testing, accomplish this by running a variety of manual and automated tests while the product is in development.

The goal is to try and break the product or force it to malfunction. This empowers developers with the knowledge they need to make product adjustments before it goes to market

Job Description

  • Reviewing and analyzing system specifications
  • Creating & Executing test scripts and reviewing results
  • Reporting and documenting technical issues
  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Collaborate with team to develop effective strategies and test plans
  • Support Business UAT testing
  • Execute test cases (manual and automated) and analyze results
  • Evaluate product code according to specifications
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Jouw profiel

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Agile Methodology
  • Great attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • An analytical mind
  • Experience with creating a test strategy
  • Understanding of REST API, Integration system and Test API (e.g. using Postman)
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Cypress.io , Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Experience with performance testing is a plus
  • ISTQB or other testing certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of JIRA
  • Plus: Experience in working in a big international organisation
  • Being able to work in Evere (Brussels)
  • Strong English communication skills are required
