Description

The Communication Specialist is responsible for the communication across the full Quality Organization. Under the leadership of the Head of Strategic Planning and Transformation, he/she develops and implement a communication strategy that supports the strategic plan and objectives of the Quality Organization.

The Communication Specialist is a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines. He/she has excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. He/she drives strategic messages to key internal and external role-players with innovation.

Main Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the Quality organization and strategies and keep up to date with relevant teams.
• Develop effective communication strategies (transversal, upward and downward communication).
• Write, edit and coordinate distribution of information to promote and increase the visibility of the Quality strategies/objectives and accomplishments.
• Work with key internal stakeholders to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the department’s strategy.
• Develop and coordinate simplified communication messaging about ongoing operational projects and strategy for reaching various audiences.
• Manage and draft content of internal communications (newsletters, announcements etc.) by using internal channels.
• Track and report on the effectiveness of the communication types currently used and come up with innovative ways to better share our message with stakeholders (using Poppulo KPIs).
• Serve as the main point of contact for problems, questions and concerns regarding Internal Communication Channels (SharePoint, Yammer, Plaza etc.).
• Develop and coordinate multiple communication projects concurrently, completing projects on time and on budget.
• Coordinate with assigned task area(s) to plan, develop and/or adapt communication activities to achieve strategic goals and create documentation solutions that support business needs aligned with internal standards, styles and practices (i.e. portals and hub).
• Organize initiatives, coordinate and plan Quality Events (e.i. Quality Summit).
• Work closely with other Communication Departments in order to elevate our messages to a higher and holistic level than the QA department.
  

Profil

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree and is ideally certified in Internal Communication (IHECS).

S(h)e has minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical regulated environment with a strong knowledge of internal communication principles.

S(h)e is experienced in communication, including supporting tools to develop stories, presentation, audio or video messaging (Vyond, Adobe PremierePro, FlexClip, Animoto, Canva) and is proficient in Sharepoint, Poppulo, Ms Office and Office 365 Tools (Yammer, PowerApps, Sway, Stream, Forms, Lists, Teams).

Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written presentation development.

Ability to adapt communication (granularity, type of messaging) to the intended audience by demonstrate writing skills and with emphasis on message clarity/impact.

Ability to work in transversal/cross-functional teams and to collaborate with leaders to develop communication strategies.

Strong Organizational Skills, Planning Abilities And Excellent Time Management.

Solid understanding of project management principles.

Team-oriented and able to work in a collaborative environment.

Thinking critically and using creative ways to solve problems. Collaborative, passionate, high energy, articulate, and able to turn complex concepts into clear messages to promote the department’s culture and mission.

Ability to work collaboratively across the department to help and deliver messaging quickly, consistently and powerfully across multiple channels and locations.

Agility and flexibility in providing support for multiple and/or just-in-time projects.

Should be a good storyteller capable of vulgarizing technical concepts and adapt writing style according to the message and media concerned.

Autonomy, initiative, curiosity, speed of execution, creativity and attention to detail with a keen interest in ongoing process improvement.
