Function:
The R&D lead weConnect inspires and leads the weConnect development team in its ambition to deliver an innovative cloud software experience that transforms the education market. She/he drives the team performance, way of working and competences to enable successful delivery. She/he works with and motivates individuals and teams to excel and co-creates a collaborative learning culture where everyone is highly engaged. She/he assures that our teams and talents evolve and grow to match their personal ambition and strength in relation to the company’s long term needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Leads the weConnect cloud development team with a strong focus on innovation and digital experience.
- Implements Barco’s strategic direction for SW, HW and services for the and supports the continuous change management with the teams and stakeholders involved
- Stimulates an inspiring agile culture of trust and empowerment with a global mindset
- Proactively coaches individual development and (intra-)team dynamics, to increase engagement, team efficiency & effectiveness and to enable long term employability
- Facilitates a good cooperation between the teams, the product owners and related product managers to understand and meet the market requirements and strategies to be followed.
- Actively manages the team’s budget for purchasing, people, and operations
We are looking for a Barco colleague who:
- Has a master degree or equivalent by experience
- Has a strong agile mindset, thinking incrementally & inspiring a culture of trust
- Is responsive to customer needs and expectations
- Has experience in people management of teams with >10 people
- Has good knowledge on up to date SW development practices
- Is curious about current & emerging ways of working and technologies
- Has strong change management skills
- Has strong communication skills in a transparent & motivating way
