We are now looking for an R&D Officer to join our team in Houthalen-Helchteren, Belgium.

What You Will Do

  • Support product development of graphic face films, liners, adhesives and PVC pastes used in product solutions for graphics applications, as defined with the Graphics business team
  • Technical responsibility for defined raw materials and components: documentation, specifications, and quality plans
  • Conduct laboratory analyses, trials, and evaluations for performance verification and optimization
  • Participate as a project member or project leader in new product development and technology development projects
  • Provide expert support to production, quality, and business teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance
  • Contribute to setting quality and runnability standards in cooperation with Operations and Quality teams
  • Monitor process and product performance, propose improvements for consistency and sustainability
  • Evaluate new technologies and benchmark competitive offerings
  • Maintain awareness of relevant regulations, trends, and emerging technologies in graphic materials
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers, R&D, and internal development teams to support innovation and cost efficiency

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • You have practical knowledge of face films, liners, adhesives, and the related manufacturing and converting processes
  • You have basic understanding of sustainability and regulatory aspects related to raw materials
  • You are familiar with laboratory analytics and testing methods
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have good communication skills in English and Dutch (written and spoken)
  • You are responsible and have a quality-conscious approach to work
  • You have the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
