1. INTRODUCTION

Since 2009, Lignaverda, driven by Entrepreneurs Without Borders, has been involved in the reforestation of semi-arid areas at risk of land degradation and desertification. We not only create forests by planting trees; we also prioritize the well-being of the people living in the reforested areas. We provide employment opportunities through afforestation activities, encourage local entrepreneurship and facilitate socioeconomic activities in and around the forests. As a partner in the African Union’s Great Green Wall Initiative and with support from the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), we are making a sustainable contribution to the fight against climate change, land degradation and rural poverty.

2. GENERAL FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

Lignaverda is growing.To continue this growth we are looking for a Sales Manager with experience in the world of EWF, climate funds, large companies (large entreprises) and (big) banks (extend sales to the international level).

Within this position, you will primarily focus on funding/financing the organization:

● You develop a strategy to attract new leads

● So you will be in charge of sales, marketing and communication initiatives.

● You do cold calling and identify potential prospects

● You decide whether the leads are a good match for our organization and qualify them (segmentation)

● You will create a prospecting plan and the associated pipeline

● You close and follow up on sales as well

● You set up events that could lead to new leads

● You go to networking events where you meet potential investors

● You are responsible for preparing file funding

● You will take our organization’s sales to an even higher international level

3. RESPONSIBILITIES - RESULT AREAS

● Achieving growth and meeting sales targets

● Writing and implementing a sales plan.

● Setting individual sales goals (sales targets)

● Analysis of sales statistics.

● Make sales forecasts and determine the profitability of products and services

● Develop and then implement sales initiatives, strategies and projects.

● Assist in building strong, long-term customer relationships by working together and understanding their needs.

● Identify market trends and market shifts and keep abreast of new products, developments and competition.

● Understanding the ideal customers and how they relate to the products.

● Find out quality of customer relationships and changing customer needs.

● Resolve customer complaints related to sales and service.

● Coordinate with marketing on lead generation.

● Setting prices.

● Approve bids.

● Preparation and follow-up of contracts

● Financial reporting of use of funds.

Place within the organization

● You will work closely and report to the CEO

4. COMPETENCE PROFILE

● You can work independently and have an entrepreneurial nature

● You are a born networker with the necessary powers of persuasion

● You are market-oriented and analytical

● You have excellent communication and negotiation skills

● You can create good reports to monitor progress

● You are an expert in drafting contracts and other official documents within an organization

● Knowledge and experience in working with the usual departments within an organization such as Operations, HR, finance and administration are not unknown to you

5. SKILLS AND MISCELLANEOUS

● Social Media

● English-speaking - French or Dutch is a plus

● Computer skills

● Passionate about social media

● The basic contract is provided at a minimum of 3/5 (depending on the growth of the organization and / or on an occasional basis this may (temporarily) increase to a 4/5 or full-time

assignment (negotiable)

● Self-employed contract
