The Role
After thorough training, you will be responsible as a Sales Specialist for the Roche Sequencing Solutions portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
You are responsible for the Flemish speaking part of Belgium focussing on Roche Sequencing Solutions portfolio as an expert. You develop and strengthen the existing client portfolio as well as hunting for new clients. To support the launch of the Avenio Tumor Tissue CGP Kit and Navify Mutation Profiler, building a solid relationship across different stakeholders in oncology will be crucial while at the same time further expanding our relationship and foothold in the centers and networks accredited to perform next-generation sequencing. You are familiar with oncology diagnostic, standard of care practices or patient Journey).
You support and implement the strategy that has been defined together with the Key Account Manager and the Product Manager.
You support the customers on a scientific, technical, applicative and commercial basis so that a continuous, efficient service is provided. To do this, you will collaborate closely with Field Application Specialists and the Product Manager.
Your profile
The ideal candidate understands consultative selling skills and is able to apply them to the customers, going beyond the product, focussing on bringing perspective. S/he is able to team up with our full RDB organization and brings the right positive mindset into the projects, hunting for opportunities. You’re someone who owns your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies, and where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.
Bachelor or Master’s degree in science (biomedical, chemical, biotechnology, biology, etc.) or the equivalent in experience. Knowledge of next-generation sequencing is a plus, but being eager to learn is even a better mindset.
Several years of experience in at least one of the following fields: clinical labs, pathology labs or life science.
Track record of success in sales positions; ideally in the field of medtech/diagnostics or oncology at pharma. You can demonstrate solid sales records, strategic acumen and main achievements.
Strong knowledge of strategic selling skills and advanced customer relationship management skills. You have commercial talent and you are sales minded, you show strong selling and negotiation skills.
Strong customer communication skills: capability to listen to and understand the customer, to create enthusiasm, to create needs and to respond adequately to the needs of customers.
Agile mindset: the set of attitudes supporting an agile working environment. These include respect, collaboration, improvement and learning cycles, pride in ownership, focus on delivering value, and the ability to adapt to change.
Positive mental "doer" attitude with a hands-on promptness in decision making.
A dynamic, high energy and self-starting individual who inspires teams through natural leadership and passion, energizing those around him/her.
Bilingual: Dutch and scientific English.
Good understanding of google tools and CRM tool.
