The Role


Context and Mission

Act! is an Atlas Copco group program which has the ambition to standardize the core processes of customer centers on a global scale for the business areas Compressor Technique, Power Technique and Industrial Tools.

The SAP ECC on Hana platform (EHP 8 with simple finance add on) is the core platform to enable this standardization, using the SD, MM, PS, CS and FICO as the core SAP modules. It also includes SAP SRM for non-core purchases, SAP BW (for reporting) and other platforms like Esker, K2 (workflows), Montova (electronic communication) …The platform is also integrated with different group and business area specific applications.

The act! program consists out of a team of business process experts (focusing on business process standardization) , a roll out team (focusing on replacing legacy applications at customer centers), a support team (focusing on the support of live customer centers) and a template team (focusing on maintaining and evolving the template).

The template team’s mission is to manage the full SAP lifecycle, from conception to retirement of the SAP solution in the appropriate stream and all interfaced applications.

This covers template maintenance, roll-out, training, support, documentation, upgrade, changes, etc.

Job Description

Within the act! Service template team we are looking for a senior SAP PM/CS functional analyst with in-depth experience in service processes and integrations towards logistics and/or finance modules. Alternatively senior SD analysts with the mindset to learn PM/CS are considered.

In this role and context, you hold the responsibility

  • for the identification, analysis and delivery of change requests in the Plant Maintenance / Customer Service area of SAP, integrating with the different impacted streams and modules.
  • to work with the selected supplier of act! (functional and technical resources) and the rest of the Atlas Copco IT and business organization
  • to ensure that the solution provided is in line with the global process design and allows to fulfil the legal requirements in scope. The integrity of the existing SAP solution should be maintained, and SAP standard solutions should be known or analyzed as recommended going in position.
  • to design, configure, specify, and test the solution, and to manage the issues and risks in conjunction with the team lead. Ensure that proper documentation and handover to the support organization is done

You’re a member of the SAP template team, reporting to the responsible team lead and providing process, functional and technical guidance and assistance

What we expect of you?


Experience requirements

Strong SAP PM and/or CS or SD background (at least 5+ Years) in similar global contexts with integration experience to SD, MM and or FICO.

General knowledge of SAP/ERP Platforms.

  • Experience in designing integrated solutions (API’s) where custom Front-end tools are exchanging data with SAP (PM/CS)
  • Experience in writing Functional Specifications independently and should have worked on Custom Objects build from Scratch to Deployments
  • Understanding of ABAP code and debugging is a plus
  • EMEA, APAC, NASA and LATAM country specific knowledge & working experience will be added advantage.
  • SAP S/4 HANA experience will be added advantage
  • Experience in a business facing role
  • Ability to map business requirements to SAP standard solutions, and if not working, interact with SAP using SAP notes
  • Project management experience is an asset


Educational requirements

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration, or similar academic background.
  • SAP Certification in 1 or more relevant modules is a plus
  • Fluent in English. Dutch is a plus.
