YOUR TASKS

• You are responsible for the processing (sorting and identification) of benthic invertebrate samples
• You assist in the organization of expeditions at sea.
• You assist in the physico-chemical analysis of sediment samples.
• You are responsible for the statistical analysis of the gathered data and the concise presentation in a report.
• You co-supervise Master students working on the benthic invertebrate samples
• You assist in lab practicals for Bachelor and/or Master students in Biology, Oceans and Lakes and IMBRSea, related to your expertise.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You hold a Master’s degree in Biology or Marine Sciences, acquired before the end of 2022
• You want to participate in field work at sea and the organization of this field work
• You are good at managing priorities and meeting deadlines
• You are a team player, are well organized and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period of 2 years.
• Your contract will start on 1/02/2023 at the earliest.
• Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree). Click here for more information about our salary scales.
