The Senior Specialist, Customer and Market Insight is a key contributor of gathering and interpreting data on Basware’s existing customers, competitors, and the market development and consolidating information into actionable items, reports, and presentations enabling marketing and sales to effectively position Basware and provide feedback to product teams and other stakeholders to enhance the product roadmap.

This is a data-oriented role sitting with the Proposition Marketing group. It is a new role strengthening the Insight function. Working closely with and reporting to the Director, Customer, and Market Insight, the role will continuously monitor and share market and competitor information, providing an understanding of how the market is changing and helping to prioritize based on this insight. This role also provides information on Basware customers’ preferences and problems helping to develop the Basware services to best address them.

This is a multifaceted role that will help deliver accurate, actionable customer and market intelligence to various business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
  • Through research and insights, provide support to marketing and sales teams helping to position Basware against the competition
  • Support ongoing customer insight practices, including focus groups, customer interviews, and surveys to discover Basware customers’ insights and preferences
  • Compiling and analyzing statistical data, and translating the data into insights to enhance Basware product roadmap
  • Working collaboratively with Analyst Relations, Sales and Product Marketing, create and update competitor benchmarks and battle cards
  • Contribute to agreed global initiatives to create compelling messaging and to improve competitiveness in the select target market
We would enjoy working with a professional who possesses:
  • 2-3 years of similar experience, experience in an analytical role, and providing insight and recommendations based on analysis
  • Experience and working knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data and to draw actionable insights from this
  • Strong project management skills
  • Understanding of the Source-to-Pay market is preferred but not essential
  • Relevant BS degree, ideally of a numerical discipline
