The Role

As a SHEQ Coordinator (Preventieadviseur Niveau 2), you will be responsible for implementing Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) policies at our Sint-Niklaas plant. You will work closely with the Plant Manager, be part of a European SHEQ team, and contribute to internal audits across multiple plants.

Your Key Responsibilities

Safety / Health / Environment

Provide guidance to local management on SHE awareness and compliance

Conduct risk analyses (safety reports, LOPA, HAZOP, Fault Tree Analysis, chemical exposure assessment, etc.)

Actively participate in Management of Change processes

Organize and participate in emergency exercises

Investigate incidents and accidents and conduct root cause analyses

Ensure the safety of external contractors

Organize the annual Safety Day

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits (VLAREM)

Participate in inspections by local authorities

Quality

Implement ISO 9001 and the Climalife Quality Management System across Western Europe

Perform internal audits, assist with ISO 9001 and customer audits, and conduct supplier audits if needed

Manage customer claims, non-compliances, and corrective actions

Prepare Management and Process Reviews

Monitor KPIs and ensure clear communication

Handle customer questionnaires and requests

Your Profile

Education & Certifications: Preventieadviseur Niveau 2 certification

Environmental Coordinator – Level A

Experience: More than five years in a similar SHEQ role

Skills & Knowledge:

Strong understanding of safety risk analysis and documentation

Knowledge of Belgian safety and environmental regulations

Experience with ISO 9001

Basic knowledge of chemistry is a plus

Proficiency in Microsoft tools and IT systems

Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)
