As Software Developer of the Intl. IT Sort & Linehaul Team, the ideal candidate will be involved in the analysis and resolution of Business and IT driven requirements into robust, quality coded, highly reliable solutions. He/She will work directly with team members in a scrum team / Agile fashion under a Scale Agile framework – collaborating with multiple teams working in the same solution domain, both locally and internationally. The ideal candidate must have proved ability in leading technology projects, proficient in basic business software, good interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills and strong analytical skills. Experience on cloud based technology or/and digital initiatives and tools.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Development: Java/J2EE (Servlets, JSP, JMS) using Eclipse IDE, HTML5, ICEfaces, JSF, CSS, JavaScript JAVA and J2EE development Java Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JSF Java JavaScript, HTML, JQuery, JSP, Tibco JMS- Knowledge of developemnt toolsets including Jenkins, GitHub, CI/CD frameworks, and understanding of technical architectural specifications
Experience in customer-driven design- Working knowledge of design and development of Java, Web applications, and Web Services including REST APIs
- Competency in Agile and/or Waterfall development frameworks
- Development of business justifications or business cases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the communication of complex material to senior Management
Required skills in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem solving, operations analysis, sales or marketing analysis
Strong human relations and communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation, and digital presentation software.
Participate in initiatives that are focused upon continuous improvement and design and development of innovative solutions and applications.- Support the activities of the related service teams during deployment, testing, and monitoring of applications and modules.
Skills and Qualification
The ideal candidate for this job will have courses and/or relevant work experience in some or all of the following skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT / Information Systems.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Software Developer or equivalent roles in a Scrum team
- Good experience of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps culture
- Good experience in Application Development, Building Architecture, Business Continuity Planning
- Demonstrable success in a analyst/programmer role in the software development industry
- High standards of quality and good communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of Transportation/Sort technologies
- Good organizational & time management skills
- Proven history of taking initiative
- Good understanding of the methods and tools of project management.
- SAFe experience is a plus - SAFe for Teams or Leading SAFe certification or equivalent
