Daikin is a multinational and leading manufacturer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) equipment. Daikin Europe is the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) headquarter and is part of Daikin Industries, the global market leader in HVAC with geographical presence in >150 countries and >100 production bases worldwide. We provide innovative, premium quality indoor climate management solutions to meet the changing needs of our residential, commercial and industrial customers.

In view of the Daikin Europe 2025 Mid Term Strategic direction and ambitious company growth plan, we are planning to reinforce our Strategy and M&A team. Therefore, we are looking for highly motivated interns with a strong interest in Strategy and M&A to join our team in the EMEA headquarter in Brussels.

The main responsibility of the team is mid-term strategic planning to steer the Group in the best possible direction. Furthermore, the team supports on a large variety of strategic projects including mergers and acquisitions and integration activities for new acquired sister companies.

Job content
  • You will be located in the EMEA HQ of Daikin Europe N.V. in Brussels.
  • As part of the Strategic Planning Division in Strategy and M&A team you will support the to the following activities
  • End to End sourcing and execution of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) across EMEA region.
  • Market Intelligence Activities across EMEA including different type of competitor monitoring, general business and organizational trends follow up.
  • You will be actively involved in supporting the creation of the Group strategy, in consultation with EMEA Top management and colleagues of other departments and countries.
  • Tackling transformational and organizational topics to support EMEA Top Management.
  • You will be actively involved on a wide variety of (international) projects or provide ad-hoc support, wherever is needed.

  • You are an open-minded, dynamic individual who is a real team player.
  • You are able to work with a diversity of people and teams.
  • You combine a hands-on attitude with the ability to take a helicopter view.
  • You must be enrolled as a Bachelor or Master in business, economics, science, engineering or a similar degree the entire internship.
  • You have strong analytical thinking and skills.
  • You are familiar with MS office tools, in particular Excel.
  • Previous internship experience in a corporate environment is a plus.
  • International experiences are an asset (work, living, trainee, volunteering, Erasmus, …)
  • You have a good knowledge of English, both oral and written. Knowledge of another European language is an asset.
