Liège - Contracting (CDI)#civilworks #engineering #design #calculation #energy #mechanicaldrawingFor our client specialised in the energy sector, we are looking for a structural engineer.The Structural Engineer is an employee in charge of the structural and/or civil works engineering of the products during project execution. He/She develops the technical documentation needed for the structural design of equipment for projects from the award of an order to the provisional acceptance of the equipment. The Structural Engineer is particularly responsible to ensure that the structural documentation of the projects is compliant to applicable codes and norms, to the contractual technical specifications and to internal standards as defined in the design process according to the QMS (quality management system) of the energy sector.
  • Application of the design process
  • Structural engineering of products for projects of the energy sector
  • Civil works engineering
  • Writing of design and manufacturing specifications
  • Coordination of engineering subcontractors
  • Participation to technical negotiations with manufacturers
  • Follow-up of manufacturers
  • Optimization of the design
  • Conformity of the technical documentation to applicable codes and norms
  • Respect of Customer specifications and requirements
  • Technical risks assessments
  • Application of standards and good practices
  • At least 5 years’ experience in structural calculation and civil works engineering
  • Bachelor in civil engineering
  • Fluent in English (reading, speaking, listening)
  • Knowledge of codes and norms (AISC, ASCE,ASTM, IBC, ISO, EN, JIS, GB)
  • Knowledge on steel material properties
  • Analytical mind, detailed focused, team spirit, results oriented
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings
  • Application of internal technical choices
  • Understanding of products and organization interfaces
  • Knowledge of the MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of calculation and drawing softwares (RISA, STAAD, SCIA and Tekla)
