This function is essential in driving the continuous improvement agenda with innovative processes and system solutions and in implementing projects strategic to GVSC or within the framework of the GSC transformation roadmap.
One of the 2 main responsibilities of this role is to lean out and to automate processes and activities from Customer Service team (Order Fulfilment, Supply Coordination, Customer Master Data and CS Regional teams) and to take these over from the actual operational teams in order to manage these via digital processes. This will bring an important reduction of manual workload, accuracy and lead times. The Supply Execution Automated Operations Manager is expected to identify, to develop and to deliver automation projects in an autonomous way as a project manager, within the framework of a continuous improvement or transformation program.
Additionally, the second purpose of the role is to act as a Subject Matter Expert for the Supply Execution scope in close collaboration with the GPO function; by accumulating knowledge and experience with both the functional supply execution processes and the automated processes, ensure continuous improvement, enable projects and support the rest of the Customer Service organisation by knowledge sharing and training.
Your responsibilities:
- Setting-up and Implementation of automated processes for Customer Service according to project planning and the transformation roadmap
- Operating and monitoring of automated processes in the area of Customer Service, ensuring business continuity and daily issue management
- Setting up of performance dashboards for the digital and manual processes of order fulfilment to track & own the performance within the organization
- Identifying opportunities and applying continuous improvement and operational excellence to the E2E processes in Supply Execution to improve results on a continuous base and to adapt to the changing needs
- Acting as a competence center of these new system solutions and digital processes for the rest of the team, to optimize the utilization and to develop these further where potential is identified, in alignment with the GVSC Automation Technology expert team
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in the functional domain of Supply Execution to support the order fulfilment, supply coordination and customer master data teams
- Managing and reporting the performance dashboard for the order fulfilment process within the organization
- Ensure CS compliance topics are addressed on time, all process documentation (SOPs, WKIs) is in place and up to date and provide functional training to ensure all team members are executing their job in a compliant way
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- 3-5 years of experience in an automation or operational excellence role in an international or global context, within pharmaceutical or FMCG supply chain Industry.
- Operational experience in Supply Chain processes and supporting systems with large organizations within an international business environment
- Demonstrated experience in running automated processes
- Skilled in Lean and/or Operational Excellence methodology and project management
- Earlier track record of projects delivered in system solution development of automation solutions
- Experienced in stakeholder management
- Excellent written and spoken English is a must
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Change management: basic knowledge of project and change management methodology, especially in training and documentation is a strong plus
- Recognized professional qualification / certification in Operational Excellence and/or Supply Chain preferred (e.g. PDCA, Yellow Belt, operational experience, APICS certification, etc.…)
- Knowledge of cGxP requirements is an asset
- Expected degree(s) / extensive academic preparation, professional knowledge and expertise to modify/develop policies
- Additional qualifications in Lean or Operational Excellence methodology are a plus
