Function

The Sustainability controller will be responsible for driving the integrated reporting process at Elia Group, ensuring we remain compliant with regulatory evolutions and monitoring evolution of reporting standards, including through following up what peers and other companies do
The function contains the following tasks

  • Structure integrated reporting and lead process (contribute to define content & contributors)
    • Contributor to KPIs definition
    • Develop & challenge integrated reporting
    • Ensure data availability, quality and consistency of integrated reporting (gathering data from the business)
    • Provide quality input to Communication team for writing
  • Lead IT project relating to non-financial data (sustainability-linked)
  • Process owner to ensure compliance & follow up on implementation of regulatory evolutions and reporting standards
  • Benchmark new sustainability accounting standards that are published and by whom they are implemented
  • Benchmark organization’s performance and measurement tools and standards against companies
  • Provide input to traditional financials statements (inclusion of sustainably on accounting)


Your Profile

  • Strategic-minded, structured and project management experience
  • University degree and in depth knowledge and previous work experience in controlling
  • Experience in sustainability or integrated reporting is a big plus
  • IT/tech literacy / data management skills
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment
  • Hands-on attitude
  • 7 years working experience
  • Collaborative team player
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in French, Dutch, and English. Knowledge of German is a plus
  • High standard of ethics and professionalism
  • Results-oriented
