Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Function Development: Design and implement diagnostic functions for transmission systems, including fault detection, isolation, reporting, and prioritization.
  • Requirements & Compliance: Define system-level requirements, ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 14229, ISO 26262, OBD), and maintain diagnostic specifications.
  • Testing & Validation: Develop test plans, oversee diagnostic validation in simulation, HiL, and vehicle environments, and conduct system analysis for performance verification.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with software, hardware, and validation teams to integrate diagnostic functionalities, support calibration, and align functional strategies.
  • Customer & Aftersales Support: Act as a liaison between engineering and aftersales teams, address field feedback, resolve complex diagnostic issues, and ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Master degree in Engineering or equivalent by experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in automotive diagnostics, system engineering or a related domain
  • Experience with transmissions systems is highly desirable
  • Good level of English
  • Team player
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic communication protocols (UDS, CAN, …)
  • Familiarity with automotive standards like Autosar, OBD, ISO26262
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostics tools like CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, …
