Robert Half is currently recruiting an IoT Engineer to join a unique company which is a leader in the world of smart buildings.

The company is located in the Antwerp region and is a fast-growing IoT-software with international operations.

The scope of responsibilities for this job include:

  • Research, evaluate, prototype, and roll out new innovative IoT solutions for smart buildings;
  • Support in comprehensive technical studies, trials, and evaluations of new IoT-related infrastructure, and performance monitoring tools;
  • Manage Supplier selection and sourcing;
  • Manage hardware logistics;
  • Execute or coordinate roll-out at clients;
  • Manage relationship with platform partners;
  • Set up and monitor technical communication channels from Sensor install base;
  • Document and communicate IoT solutions to the team;
  • Coordinate / work with deployment teams and partners.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

  • Degree in IT/computer science, computer/electronical engineering, or equivalent experience in IoT engineering;
  • Hands-on mentality and pragmatic problem solver, not afraid to get your hands dirty on helping during a sensor installation campaign;
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience;
  • High sense of ownership and commitment;
  • Skilled at working on multiple, simultaneous projects of complex nature;
  • Strong analytical and project management skills;
  • Curious attitude and a tendency to see the bigger picture;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Comfortable communicating with clients in both technical and non-technical terms;
  • Relevant experience is a plus;
  • Ability to read simple programs and scripts (Python, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Bash scripting, …);
  • Knowledge the English language, Dutch is a plus;
  • A driver’s license.
