Job Purpose and Impact

The Technical Account Manager Bakery with deep oils & fats expertise will provide industry expertise to our key internal and external accounts regarding the best nutritional solutions and technology. In this role, you will serve as an industry leading professional enabling the business to enhance its commercial growth potential by leveraging unparalleled technology and groundbreaking solutions to create value added solutions for our key bakery customers and prospects

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for bakery expertise and use this expertise to influence prospective customers.
  • Partner with key accounts to achieve trusted advisor status and drive value added focus to enable delivery on customer promise.
  • Provide oils & fats expertise in bakery to assess new business opportunities and identify priorities in the innovation pipeline to optimize bakery solutions and enable the ability to create optimal offers from a functional and commercial perspective.
  • Perform complex research for product development, partnering with key internal and external suppliers and stakeholders to test new technologies and solutions.
  • Prepare project data and conclusions for internal and key customer presentations to make recommendations and product demonstrations.
  • Develop training resources to provide guidance to regional and local commercial and technical teams to improve our value creation and sales effectiveness.
  • Proved expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters degree in food chemistry, food technology, chemistry, engineering or other related field
  • Relevant expertise in Bakery application including vegetable oils and fats expertise, verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of six years of relevant customer facing working experience in a technical role and associated customer relationship network or relevant R&D expertise on customer level.
  • Fluent in English
  • Open to travel up to 30-50%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in food chemistry, food technology/engineering, chemistry, human nutrition or other related field.
  • Eight years of relevant customer facing working experience in a technical role and associated customer relationship network or relevant R&D expertise on customer level.
  • Detailed Expertise of oils and fats chemistry
  • Experience with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Passion for understanding, creating, and communicating value and solutions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to translate industry/market trends into new opportunities and solutions for existing and new customers/markets
  • Fluent in other languages
