Bricsys is looking for an experienced development technical lead to join their BOA (Bricsys Online Administration) team. The BOA team, responsible for the inhouse custom developed CRM tool, has the challenging goal to put in place a state of the art CRM and Backoffice tool to support the growing sales organization. Due to massive growth there is an increasing need for new functionalities which need to be developed and/or integration with 3 rd party applications or microservices need to be setup.

As a senior Java developer, you act as the technical lead of the BOA team, you develop to a high quality standard and you challenge the team to do similar. Based on your experience you will support and guide the team in making correct technical choices.

Location: HQ (Ghent, Belgium) preferred (or willing to travel to the Ghent office on a weekly basis).

Responsibilities
  • Java development of new features and expanding on current CRM and Backoffice functionalities of the BOA application. Evaluating from a technical point of view if integrations with commercial software or cloud microservices would be beneficial.
  • Developing with standard technology and tooling: backend technology stack consists of Git, Maven, Java 8/11, Spring (Boot), Docker, Google Cloud Platform services and MySQL; our modern frontend pages use Vue.js, legacy frontend uses JSP.
  • In addition, you are also actively involved in code review, in testing, in fixing and tweaking to deliver the highest quality application.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities for technical improvement and business value delivery.
  • Guarantee that stable and proven technology is used.
  • Support the development team in all technical aspects of their role and you monitor the consistent delivery of the agreements made. Stimulate and motivate the development team to bring them to the next level.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor- or master degree in Mathematics, Computer science, Economics /Statistics or equal by experience.
  • 5 years + experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge/experience with implementation of cloud microservices.
  • Feeling comfortable in an agile environment.
  • Focused on delivery of systemic, thorough, complete and precise package of work.
  • Enthusiastic personality with goals / result driven mindset. Willing to go the extra mile. Dedication and passion are highly appreciated.
  • Excellent communication skills. Full professional proficiency in Dutch or English.
