As technical sales engineeryou turn our medical customer’s cool ideas and concepts into actual high‑end products like implants and instruments. You are the main point of contact for these customers to make sure the products comply with their requirements, while at the same time, you work with our production team to ensure we will realize a reliable, repeatable and scalable production process. Having happy customers and establishing a smooth production line that can make hundreds, if not thousands, of parts: that’s what you do this for.
YOUR TASKS
- Work closely with the Sales manager as the technical expert in pre- and post-sales
- Manage customer and prospect meetings to discuss project progress and technical details
- Calculate project/product costs and prepare quotations
- Modify CAD files from customers when needed
- Prepare the machine files (part orientation, supporting, parameter selection) for the additive manufacturing process
- Have interactions and discussions with your colleagues from production and the engineering department and possible subcontractors to find the best possible way to manufacture a product
- Execute the whole manufacturing workflow yourself during the prototyping phase
- Document the process flow and corresponding instructions according to our quality management system
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle the day to day management of existing customer projects
- Provide feedback to customers on opportunities for design optimizations, cost reductions and production efficiency improvements
- Define optimal workflows for customer applications based on Amnovis’ production capabilities
- Set up and write project and product documentation for production of customer applications
- Perform project management of application development activities until a reliable supply chain is established
- Manage multiple customer projects in parallel
- Identify gaps in Amnovis’ production capabilities to meet customer needs
- Manage a realistic cost calculation tool and keep it up to date with actual post-calculation data
- Identify new or additional sales opportunities
YOUR PROFILE
- You have a MSc in a technical discipline such as Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Biomedical), Biomedical Sciences or Life Sciences. Any additional education in business administration is a plus.
- Experience in working with Medical Devices or Additive Manufacturing is a plus
- Dealing with customers in a professional and commercial way is your second nature
- Working with CAD software packages is like a walk in the park for you
- You have a basic understanding of materials engineering & selection
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Any working proficiency in Dutch, German or French is a strong plus.
- You have a strong interest in manufacturing and how things are made
- If you don’t know what’s an acetabulum, femur or tibia, no problem, but if you do, that’s definitely a plus
- You have a no-nonsense entrepreneurial mindset
- You are resistant to stress and like working with challenges and deadlines
- You are happy to travel up to 10% for customer visits and trade show visits/representations
