We are looking for a Technical Service Manager to lead our full European Sauces & Inclusions business at both Sensient & customer locations, and to lead a high performing technical team.

• We offer you  a comprehensive on-boarding training. This secures a solid foundation to understand the organization, systems, supporting functions and culture, as well as our products and technologies in the sector.
• Your technical background in Food Science or Chemistry, along with your extensive experience in Innovation / Product Development / Application in the food & beverage industry, will allow being the technical lead for the technology in the sector. The backbone is food science, particularly in the areas of hydrocolloid and physical-chemistry. This is coupled to active knowledge of processing, complex rheology and food microbiology.
• With your creativity, problem solving and customer orientation skills, you will lead technical application discussions with customers and Account Managers. Moreover, you will successfully provide technical assistance to internal and external customers  to bring a stream of technology-insulated, value-add innovations to market.
• Your strong communication skills, along with your fluency in English (and ideally German or French), will also make you succeed in preparing and presenting technical information for both internal and external trainings and product activation.
• You will put into action your leadership, project management and analytical skills in order to lead the Sauces & Inclusion Application team, by providing clear and detailed instructions to meet customer project and sampling requests.
• You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Procurement (local and international) on new concepts and New Product Development (NPD). You will also liaise with the plant to maintain and execute a capital plan, which improves efficiency and enables NPD, as well as with quality to ensure a high standard of Food Safety.
  ***Please note this position is based out in our Heverleesite, and that travel across Europe to customer’s research and manufacturing sites is involved.***
