We have an international scope and are a (very) fast-growing team.We’re looking for a Technical Writer to contribute to our company’s rapid and sustainable growth.Are you passionate about writing technical documentation?Do you have the ability to explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner?You have a ’green heart’ and believe in renewable energy, then you are probably the Smappee Hero we are looking for!Responsibilities
  • You manage technical documentation projects, from planning to publication, while ensuring quality and consistency. Technical documentation includes installation manuals, technical sheets, user guides, training courses and application notes.
  • You write and update the content which is targeted at a B2B audience.
  • You are responsible for briefing, execution and quality control of Dutch, French, English and German technical materials. You coöperate with translation agencies.
  • You work with technical designers to obtain the correct technical drawings.
  • You contribute to the creation of marketing and sales documentation, such as technical use cases and white papers and installation videos. This includes writing or revising FAQs aimed at residential and commercial end-consumers.
  • You work with cross-functional teams (R&D, product- and marketing) to ensure that documentation complements other customer-facing materials such as customer support knowledge bases and website content.
Requirements
  • You have a bachelor’s or masters degree in a relevant, technical field (e.g. ICT, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline) or equivalent through experience.
  • You have proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role in a software and/or hardware environment.
  • You have strong technical writing skills.
  • Your written skills in English and Dutch are highly professional.
  • Project management and organizational skills are in your DNA.
  • You have excellent attention to detail.
  • You are able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven environment.
