As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening the quality culture within our clients in-house development teams. You’ll contribute to building and executing a test strategy that ensures software reliability, scalability, and performance. Quality is not just a responsibility but a mindset. You’ll act as a driver, setting the bar high and bringing colleagues along with you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and expand the test and quality processes across agile development teams.
  • Implement automated integration and performance tests to safeguard application quality.
  • Maintain consistency across the application landscape, tools, and frameworks.
  • Continuously extend test sets based on a strong understanding of the business context.
  • Monitor and report on testing, ensuring visibility and impact across teams.
  • Prevent regression through robust test coverage and strategic automation.
  • Share knowledge actively, coach colleagues, and foster a collaborative testing culture.

What are we looking for?

  • Solid experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation in agile environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative, and able to act as a bridge across teams.
  • Experience with several of the following is a plus: TDD, Clean Code, Spring slice tests, Testcontainers, Cypress, JMeter, Cucumber, AssertJ, Postman.
  • Affinity with performance testing, security testing, and system monitoring (e.g., Dynatrace).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Fluent in Dutch; willingness to commute to Bruges 2x per week.
