VCPP Digital Workspace Solution Architect, NEMEA

Job Description:

As a Digital Workspace Solution Architect, your role is to support the Sales team on all technical and functional aspects of End User Computing opportunities within VMware Cloud Providers. The VMware Solution Architects play a critical role in building and sustaining customer relationships while driving the adoption of VMware solutions. They are responsible for discovery of customer needs, proving out VMware solutions to meet them, and prescribing implementation roadmaps for long term success.

Expectation:

To work with Cloud Providers on developing and running the entire portfolio of VMware Digital Workspace solutions for their end customers. You will work with them on choosing the products, defining the solutions, structuring the Go To Market, validating the pricing structure, defining a communication plan, training their sales force and winning together.

You will work hand by hand with the Solution Architects in charge of the Cloud Providers in the different countries / regions and you will never be alone as at VMware Teamwork is our foundation and customer / partner success is our ultimate goal.

Main Duties:

• Present VMware Digital Workspace vision and strategy to our Cloud Providers
• Travel in the different countries and regions in Northern EMEA to meet partners
• Ideally based out of the Nordic Region as the priority region for growth, with remit to BeNeLux
• Support the Solution Architect in charge of the Cloud Providers in the country / region during presentation / demonstration / POC and Architecture validation
• Engage Professional Services team for future delivery and rollout
• Establish a strategy with the partners that aligns with sales and the corporate strategy
• Participation in regular territory and forecast reviews with regional sales directors resulting in a detailed understanding of the top deals in each region
• Building strategic relationships with our partners to drive closer partnership and alignment
• Building strategic relationships with other organizations inside VMware – especially the End User Computing and Workspace Anywhere business units – as well as maintaining current knowledge of both corporate and industry direction.

• NEMEA & EMEA Solution Architects in each country and region
• NEMEA Sales Manager(s), Sales Director(s), NEMEA SE Managers.
• Cloud Software Business Unit heads as well as other BU heads
• VMware Cloud Product Managers, Technical Marketing Managers and Product Marketing Managers.
• Professional Services Organization heads.
• Other in-region and external GEO SA teams.

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of a selection from the below technologies:
  • Apple (iOS) MDM / MAM
  • Google Android MDM / MAM
  • ChromeOS platforms MDM / MAM
  • Windows 10 Modern Management
  • Mac OS Management
• Desktop Virtualization
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management principles and standards such as Identity federation, SAML, OAuth
• Microsoft Domain Management, Microsoft Azure, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory Services (AD)
• Understanding of Digital User Experience Management
• Standard understanding of desktop and server operating systems software, performance and debugging tools, scripting and automation (Windows, Linux)
• Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, routing and remote protocols
• Server and Endpoint Security experience would be beneficial
