Job Description

KeyResponsibilities
  • Create guidelines on setting up insurance products (retail, commercial and group) based on local trends and industry standards.
  • Create guidelines on insurance business processes for retail, commercial and group products following the best practices in the Belgium insurance market.
  • Heavily involved as a domain expert in creating guidelines on implementation and migration strategies of a particular commercial off the shelf system.
  • Lead/Execute all or part of the business analysis on business features/user stories.
  • Responsible for gathering and understanding of business needs and translating them into effective user stories/requirements.
  • Proactively acquire insurance domain knowledge and facilitate the growth of the domain.
  • Identify and drive business process improvement opportunities; create and share best practices across the teams to achieve process maturity.
  • Proactively develop and impart training on completed solutions or upcoming initiatives for business partners and technical staff.
Qualifications
  • Graduate Degree/Diploma
  • Insurance industry Certifications (ideal)
  • Membership of relevant professional body (ideal)
Experience
  • 10+ years combined experience in Information Technology, Consulting, Insurance Industry.
  • At least 5 - 7 years combined experience, working as a Lead Insurance consultant on a particular commercial off the shelf insurance system (e.g., Guidewire, Duckcreek, Sapiens etc).
  • Experience working in transformation projects for a local insurance company in Belgium.
  • Experience in insurance product design (coverage setup, rating and business rules) and its related business processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in the use of analytical and communication tools such as MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail.
