Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• 
  From a legal and risk management perspective, draft, negotiate with the business, review and process complex international contracts and terms & conditions with customers and suppliers worldwide;

• Provide advice and contract interpretation on nonstandard legal, financial, and business issues raised in contract documents;

• Be involved with the entire contract life cycle, including dealing with preparation and sending of template documents, negotiation and finalization, preparing executable copies; and requisite internal distribution;

• Assist with template review activities to ensure standard documents are up to date with current legislation across global jurisdictions;

• Support the legal matters of the company linked to the daily business, including social law matters;

• Liaise with other internal departments to provide ad hoc support as and when required.

Skills Needed

• 
  Solid knowledge of technology contract Law including SaaS licensing;

• Knowledge of Belgian civil, trade and contracting laws;

• Knowledge of Data protection & Pharma Medical Compliance (including GxP’s, GDPR) is a considerable advantage;

• 
  Experience working in cross-cultural, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional environments;

• 
  Speak English fluently, you are able to negotiate and draft contracts in English, and you have a good working knowledge of French;

• Business & solutions-minded, you are comfortable working in a fast paced environment and you demonstrate the ability to successfully manage multiple projects with complex and demanding deadlines.
