We are currently seeking an experienced Manager Automotive Sales to join our team. This is an exciting leadership role and we are looking for an experienced high energy sales leader with a deep understanding of the (digital) automotive ecosystem and the relevant players. You will bring our sales strategy to the next level and are in the drivers’ seat for growing our market share amongst the largest car dealer(s) (holdings) in Belgium. You continuously identify new commercial opportunities and easily connect with leaders within the car industry and provide our organization with their valuable feedback. Location: You will be (partly) based in Brussels and will report into the Head of Automotive Sales Benelux.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of the Belgian Automotive sales team (approx. 3 FTE)
  • Develop the sales strategy for our local Automotive business and data propositions.
  • Deliver against ambitious revenue goals in a customer and consumer focused manner
  • Develop long-term client / partner relationships and set up a structure to support this
  • Day-to-day management of the account management team (e.g. sales strategy, driving results, client negotiations, relationship building, pricing and solution provision).
  • Coach and develop direct reports - identifying development needs and utilizing available resources to develop individuals.
  • Establish and own relationships at top-10 dealer holdings at C-level
  • Stay current relevant market trends, understand the competitive landscape and being able to translate into new commercial offerings
  • Foster a consultative selling approach to prove customer value and return on investment
  • Accurately forecast and manage revenue pipelines
  • Ensure CRM is being used effectively and provides competitive advantage
  • Provide a structured operating environment for the team
  • Communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities effectively
  • Stimulate co-operation between commercial teams and team members.
  • Achieve high levels of motivation and engagement of team members.
  • Establish a culture where long term development is balanced with quarterly focus and ownership.
  • Leading quarterly sales goals alignment and evaluation of efficiencies from previous periods.
  • Set and communicates quarterly objectives with team that align with company goals.
  • Development of reporting and analytics to create insight and recommendations for improvement and positive change within the team.
  • Drive the launch of new revenue initiatives that capitalize on new market opportunities or technical developments.
  • Work closely together with and develop join market approaches with the Head of Sales for Benelux
  • Act as role model for all as a leader supporting our core values and behaviors.
  • Build effective relationships with Marketing, Customer Relations, Business and Product teams and fosters a collaborative, open approach to share best practice across the wider Adevinta organization.
  • Industry networking: represent 2dehands at relevant industry events and be an active participant in relevant external forum.

Desired skills, experience & education:

  • 10+ years’ experience B2B ecommerce sales, preferably automotive
  • 5+ years management experience of account/commercial teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or another relevant field
  • Proven expertise in negotiating complex, commercial/advertising negotiations
  • Proven track record of building high performing commercial teams and delivering results
  • Network of senior executives within automotive industry
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep analytical capabilities.
  • Goal oriented, with determination and commitment to achieve the targets set
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, pro-active, makes things happen and can-do mentality
  • Data driven blend of analytical intelligence and creative vision to achieve outstanding performance
  • Proficient in Dutch, English and French
  • Down to earth team-player, not afraid of rolling up one’s sleeves and getting hands dirty.
  • Ability to attract talent and coordinate them into an all-star team
  • Ability to travel domestically and frequently to the Netherlands
