Managing Director Light Gallery

As a Managing Director Light Gallery you’ll be responsible for leading our omni-channel chain of consumer lighting stores in Belgium that operates under the brand name "Light Gallery". The chain consists of four fully owned retail stores, one franchised retail store, a webshop and a small headquarter staff team.

What you’ll do

• Lead the Light Gallery organization including approximately 25 employees, set clear goals & objectives, motivate people and develop internal talent

• Realize or exceed sales and profit targets and other targets including customer satisfaction, strategic product mix and inventory levels. Select and manage suppliers.

• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence to simplify internal processes, increase quality and reduce waste and overhead costs

• Define and implement a strong business plan to further develop the Light Gallery retail format towards profitable growth in the next few years.

• Ensure appropriate levels of cooperation both within Light Gallery and across towards the Signify Benelux consumer organization. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and deliver on Signify’s strategic objectives.

Your qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years commercial experience in a retail managerial position. Managing physical shops or showrooms is a must. Omni-channel experience preferred.

• Strong operational management skills including performance management, business analysis and process improvement to simplify operations.

• People leader, able to mobilize teams and develop talent. Emotionally intelligent, familiar with driving change and change management

• Conceptual and analytical, but with a hands-on attitude and entrepreneurial flair. Able to develop direction for retail formats to increase profitable growth

• Fluent in English, French and Dutch
