Job Description & Summary

We guide. We support. You grow.

PwC Advisory’s a roadmap of possibilities, and you’re in the driver’s seat. Where you want to make an impact is always up to you. With the full support of our Advisory teams, you’ll delve into the inner workings of companies to find the best solutions for any challenge they might have.

We’re looking for a talented Manufacturing Consultant to join our Management Consulting department as part of our Operations team.

What you’ll learn and do

As a Manager, your main role will be to lead programs to design and implement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. These initiatives might be linked to a range of our offerings, like lean material flows, asset and maintenance management, manufacturing excellence or Industry 4.0.

  • Your engagements will be at the client’s site; most likely within an international environment. You’ll receive guidance and coaching from senior colleagues in your development, just as you’re expected to guide and coach your teams on their assignments.

  • You’ll be encouraged to initiate and develop new ideas and challenge the status quo. Our highly motivated team has an excellent track record of delivering high-quality work to major international clients and has ambitious growth plans for the next few years.

  • Reporting to Directors or Partners, you’ll be part of or leading a team of Consultants in delivering client projects or work-streams on larger programmes.

  • You’ll play an important role in helping us grow our business by developing market-relevant expertise and solutions.

Who you are

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Sciences or comparable by experience.

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as an operations improvement practitioner; demonstrated shop floor experience in working closely with operators.

  • In light of the recent technological revolution manufacturing is going through, affinity with technology is a must, the translation of technology into real operational solutions in particular is a key component of our day-to-day activities.

  • Experience in the sales process in consulting is a major asset.

  • Ambition to work internationally on projects.

  • Capable of linking with both the shop floor and the boardroom; team player mentality.

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, maintenance or quality management.

  • Demonstrable experience of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques, ways of working and their applications.

  • Project management, presentation and communication skills.

  • Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French; German is an asset.

  • Ability to be flexible: i.e. short-term changes in agenda and/or willingness to travel.

  • Pragmatic, resilient and innovative in problem solving and issue resolution.

  • Respectful and open to all cultures and backgrounds.

What we offer

  • An environment where you’ll be encouraged to take your expertise to the next level

  • A workspace where everyone feels respected, valued and free to be themselves

  • Inspiring and awesome colleagues

  • Team events such as Last Friday Drinks, team-building days, celebrations and specialist knowledge events

  • Forward-looking and very accessible leadership hosting inspirational lunches and driving your further development

  • An extensive health programme including an online platform and various challenges, yoga and Pilates in our offices, yearly flu vaccinations, sports communities, mental resilience workshops and so on

  • A flexible work schedule including homeworking and the possibility to conveniently make use of various holiday schemes

  • An interesting salary and benefits package, including health and group insurance and Teddy care (nursing service when your child is ill)

  • And much more!

Looking for a career where you’ll really make a difference? Then we look forward to meeting you!
