MARKET MANAGER EXPORT

The purpose of the position is to drive and co-ordinate regional marketing activities in the Export region. The Export region includes consists of all sales where Western Europe and US are excluded. This includes Americas excluding USA, East-Europe, Russia, Africa, Middle-East, Asia incl. Japan and China. In most of these countries Biocartis works through distributors. The Market Manager will frequently interact with the Export team, global marketing distributors, local KOLs and end-customers.

The key objective of the market manager is to drive the marketing activities in the Export region. This means to:

  • Ensure a successful launch of new products;
  • Build and maintain an international network of KOLs for the purpose of local sales expansion, research collaborations and analysis of market trends & needs;
  • Maintain a high degree of product, competition and market knowledge;
  • Drive the development and adaptation of marketing materials and sales collateral;
  • Build a research/study plan for Export region in collaboration with the Global Marketing team and support the setup and execution of all studies;
  • Drive international conferences in the Export region and support local conferences and user meetings;
  • Support the Export team in the acquisition of key end customers;
  • Close follow up of sales numbers to anticipate on market changes;

The Export Market Manager is also the interface between Export and global marketing. This means to coordinate regional projects with global marketing and to develop deep knowledge of the regional market place and relative product positioning. This should support the company in making informed decisions on the development of new products, to validate product & service alternatives and configurations for the Export region and to inform the Export team about global marketing initiatives.

The Export Market Manager should have a scientific orientation with strong knowledge of molecular biology and experience in marketing. The function includes significant international travel (30%-40%).

Accountabilities

  • Translate company goals into go-to-market strategies in Export region. Develop region’s annual and long-term marketing plans, including key partnerships. Works with countries in the region to implement core business strategies in the key areas of portfolio management and customer targeting.
  • Build and maintain a network of international KOL’s to support Biocartis’ commercialization efforts. Support a network of local KOL’s in key markets. Support distributors with KOL, oncologists and end-user meetings.
  • Drive the development and adaptation of marketing materials and sales collateral targeting for distributors, end-users and oncologists. Improve the capabilities of our distributors to successfully sell our products.
  • Drive international conferences in Export region and support local congresses.
  • Build a study plan for the Export region in collaboration with the Global Marketing team and support the setup and execution of all studies.
  • Ensure a successful launch of new products.
  • Maintain a high degree of product and market knowledge. Perform research on the competition and educate the company on a regular basis.
  • Sharing region-specific insights to inform product and customer plans and region-specific customer insights/opportunities and learn from other regions what can be implemented in Export.
  • Present a positive and professional image of Biocartis and ensure activities are consistent with and enhance the company’s ethical marketing policies and procedures.

Profile requirements

  • A Master’s degree in a scientific orientation or equivalent through experience; A PhD is a significant plus;
  • Previous Marketing experience in the diagnostics industry is a major asset;
  • Experience with molecular diagnostics products;
  • Deep understanding of the competitive landscape is preferred;
  • Good understanding of molecular biology;
  • Good understanding and knowledge of customer needs, market trends and competitive environment;
  • Strong business accumen and customer focus;
  • Methodical and process minded. Committed and follows through;
  • Very strong team-focused approach;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Ability to drive data driven insights;
  • Ability to deliver against set objectives while operating on some occasions in stressful situations;
  • Ability to deal with shifting priorities and issues inherent to a growing organization;
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in product management;
  • Excellent presentation skills, both written and oral;

  • Languages : excellent English both spoken and written. Any other language used in the Export region is an asset (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Japanese, Mandarin, etc.);
  • PC skills : MS office and CRM tools;
  • Flexible to Intercontinental travel (up to 40%).
