POLITICO’s marketing team is looking for an Intern to join its Brussels-based team starting in February/March 2022.

As POLITICO’s marketing team we take care of all aspects of marketing to drive interest, awareness, and audience growth for our journalistic products (for example newsletters and podcasts) and events.

We are looking for a motivated intern to join the Brussels-based team to support us in developing and delivering innovative campaigns to grow the audiences of our products and events as well as tracking results and impact of the implemented measures. This role will also have exposure to POLITICO’s product, creative and events team.

His/her mission would include:

• Implementing digital campaigns on various channels (display, e-mail, social)
• Tracking and analysis of campaign success through data tools like Google Analytics
• Preparing data sets for campaigns
• Creation of marketing assets to be used for the campaigns
• General assistance and support for marketing managers and for the marketing director

The ideal candidate will have:

• Keen interest in marketing (and ideally a first experience in the field) as well as in politics and news
• Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment
• Attention to detail
• Fluency in English is English is essential; knowledge of other languages, such as French, German, Spanish and/or Italian is preferred.

Internships generally last three to four months. This position is only available for student training as part of university or graduate coursework. Please note that as per Belgian regulations, internships that are part of university or graduate coursework cannot be paid, however, compensation toward lunch and transport to the office is provided.
