About the Job

Would you like to help us build & sustain trust through credibility of our business and brands in order to get Healthcare Professionals endorsement of our products & services? Are you able to contribute to our medical strategy, product communication and innovation and engage your stakeholders? In this challenging role you will be responsible strategically and operationally for managing the medical activities of projects in the area of Oncology & Critical Illness. Internally you will liaise with marketing, sales & research and innovation. Externally you will have significant contact with key opinion leaders and health care professionals.

As our Medical Affairs Manager Oncology & Critical Illness, you are responsible for the topics Oncology & Critical Illness, and you help to define commercial strategy and execution as well as local implementation of Medical strategies in Belgium. You report to the Head Adult and your key responsibilities are the following:

KOL & stakeholder networks:

• Support building business strategy with scientific input.
• Establish and develop KOL / HCP networks in Oncology & Critical Illness area in Belgium and build strong relationships with relevant specialists and stakeholders, medical societies and patient foundations in these fields,
• Drive the sponsoring, organization and implementation of KOL and HCP events (ad boards, round tables, live and online scientific events,...) as well as support and participate in local events (symposia, Nutrifocus, masterclasses, etc) set up in collaboration with marketing and sales functions,
• Participate in national and international symposia and events in Oncology & Critical Illness,
• Be the key contact to local HCP associations and networks in Oncology & Critical Illness,
• Be the medical person towards the local sales community.
• Manage 1 direct report

About You

Be able to achieve the above, you have a Master in Life Science or Nutrition and at least 6 years of experience in Medical Affairs (in health care, food, science or pharmaceutical industry) and a strong passion for nutrition. If you are our ideal candidate, you also need the following:

• Fluency in Dutch, French & English
• Strategic vision
• A strong team spirit
• Both content driven and commercial oriented
• Perseverance and strong push
• Excellent social & communication skills with the ability to easily interact with people (both internally and externally) and to establish strong positive relationship with HCPs
• Project management skills
