To support these fast-growing businesses, Katoen Natie is looking for a Team Leader for a .NET Development team for its sites in the harbor of Antwerp (Belgium).

Job Description

As Team Leader for the Digitized Operations Management team you will be the SPOC regarding all technical topics and roadmap within the team. You will be the bridge between business, PM and your team. You’ll coach and mentor other developers within the team and ensure daily business.

You will collaborate and align with other teams and team leaders within the IT organization. This can be technical alignment, but also collaboration in context of new projects, decommissioning or regular maintenance.

You will closely collaborate with multiple people from the afore mentioned business units. They will be responsible for indicating priority and urgency and assisting with analysis.

The team operates in an Agile scrum way continuously developing, maintaining and deploying the cloud-based .NET applications for which you are responsible.

The team itself is a composition of multiple different roles & nationalities. There are 2 IT analysts, 2 IT testers, 1 IT architect and 8 Software Developers. Some of these are working in Belgium, some in Moldova.

Together with the team, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the coding process. Ranging from analysis and development, towards testing and releasing to eventually delivering third-line production support and management of some cloud infrastructure.

The Digitized Operations Management team is responsible for 2 line of business applications: eOrder and Space Management. Both applications contribute to the same goal: making the lives of our operators in the warehouses easier.

The eOrder application helps operators execute their tasks more efficiently, keeping in mind order and dependencies on other steps. This helps Katoen Natie to minimize operational mistakes, improving efficiency.

On top of that, the Space Management application suggests locations to the eOrder application, where to put goods in a warehouse. By implementing a good put-away strategy, the warehouse itself becomes more efficient, making the lifes of operators a lot easier.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for the team, ensuring clear and effective communication with stakeholders
• Oversee and manage team performance, ensuring alignment with multiple project goals and objectives
• Facilitate inter-team alignment and collaboration to ensure seamless project execution
• Coordinate and manage resources within the team, including handling timesheets and absence requests
• Oversee and manage team processes, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency
• Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving production issues
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering professional growth and development
• Ensure the team adheres to best practices and standards in software development and project management
• Oversee and collaborate in all phases of the development process
• Collaborate with the main stakeholders to reach project goals and objectives
  
  

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or similar by experience.
• 6+ years experience as a developer
