The Pfizer Centre One (PC1) Operations Quality Lead is responsible for the strategic quality oversight and support of PC1 operations. This position provides strategic and tactical leadership to the PC1 organization and provides direction and oversight to ensure appropriate quality and compliance related decision making.The PC1 Quality Lead will play a key role in managing performance with internal stake holders. This includes ensuring an effective governance structure within QO - T4 is in place for PC1 to ensure strong partnership and oversight of quality and compliance performance.The incumbent will also drive improvements and simplification within ways of working to ensure optimally effective and efficient and meeting business needs.The role is a highly independent position, with the incumbent having a maturity in operating in a risk-based virtual environment while ensuring compliance with cGMPs.This position reports to the VP, External Supply Operations Quality (ESOQ) and will be a core member of the ESOQ LT. The incumbent will also be a member of the PC1 LT.Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide Quality Leadership and strategic direction to PC1 Operations.
  • Establish strategic Quality governance with Internal stakeholders and with External Customers of PGS, building partnership relationships with these parties and with PGS Quality and PC1 Operations to enable strong quality/compliance performance and business results.
  • Ensure effective internal governance and oversight of PC1 operations is in place, partnering to ensure strong performance and efficient effective communications.
  • Lead Quality discussions with stakeholders and external partners at Joint Governance Meetings.
  • Provides Quality input on behalf of PGS Quality to strategic cross site projects with External Customers
  • Ensures the creation and implementation of clear and timely action plans for issue resolution with appropriate escalation, communication to external customers, and closure.
  • Supports the on boarding of new PGS Sites within the PC1 Model/framework
  • Enable quality improvement initiatives to be established and implemented where required, both with internal and external parties.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or other related Science degree required
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including roles that provided strong knowledge of GMP regulations and leading improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of quality and manufacturing operations
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills with experiencing solving complex and unique problems
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) or other lean manufacturing approaches
  • Experience in leading/influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in managing projects that require critical thinking, collaborative approaches; innovation; strong analytical skills; ability to understand business issues and processes
  • Strong analytical skills to assess information, draw conclusions and recommend improvements
