PhD RESEARCHER ON THE ROLE OF IMPACT INVESTORS IN PRIVATE FIRMS

The job

• Conduct research on entrepreneurship in collaboration with faculty and other researchers, incl. desk research, data collection & data analysis.
• Plan and perform research projects, especially regarding the role of impact investors in private firms.
• Disseminate findings to an academic and business audience, and to society at large, incl. papers, reports, articles & social media posts.

You

• Have obtained a master’s degree (preferably related to economics) with above-average academic performance. Your yearly exam results equal 68% (honours) or more, at least twice, of which minimum once in the Masters’ degree.
• Are passionate about the topic of entrepreneurial finance and impact investing.
• Have good analytical skills including knowledge of statistical packages (e.g. STATA).
• Want to conduct research, relevant to both the academic and the business world.
• Have good writing and computing skills and are fluent in English.
• Have a proactive and customer-oriented attitude.
• Can choose to be located on our campus in Gent, Brussels or Leuven, in combination with your home office.
