To strengthen our Finance Business Partner Manufacturing team, based in our UCB Biopharma officein Braine L’Alleud, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Plant Finance Partner.

As a Plant Finance Partner, you will be the primary point of contact for local manufacturing operations in Braine for key financial deliverables: financial planning, performance monitoring, decision making and agile resource (re)allocations.

You will also ensure and maintain a strong relationship with stakeholders across the company and will provide specific expertise in transversal financial areas (E2E value chains, projects, process and systems set-up,…).

As finance partner, you will contribute to UCBs sustainable value creation by being an effective financial guardian and proactively challenge through functional & data management.


You will contribute
in these major areas:

Financial Planning:

  • drive financial planning exercises for ensuring completeness, accuracy of the underlying data (CAPEX, OPEX, Cost of Goods calculations) in accordance with UCBs strategic ambitions and ensure that these are being reviewed and reported in a timely manner to the relevant stakeholders.

Performance measurement:

  • Explain the variances vs budget, establish trends and provide insights
  • Collaborate with business partners in understanding and interpreting financial data (business reviews)
  • Perform monthly closing, dashboarding, monitor variances and ad-hocanalysis
  • Use innovative analytical opportunities (AI, Advanced Analytics) to generate insights for supporting better decision-making.
  • Focus on Value creation for assets in Braine Technical Operations’ portfolio.


Data support & process:

  • Contribute and act as Finance representative in various governance and business process and system changes, act as change agent for financial process and system changes
  • Create & control monthly business performance analytical reports as well as the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning packages
  • Upload data for relevant exercises, perform adjustments where needed and ensure consistency and reconciliations where needed
  • Become a trusted back-up for Finance Business Partners
  • Ensure integration between different planning exercises 10YP, Budget, Rolling Forecast and Resource (re)allocation
  • Check Forecast phasing

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following
education, experienceandskills:

  • You hold a master’s degree or equivalent through experience and have at least 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Finance, preferably in the healthcare sector
  • You are fluent in French & English
  • You are knowledgeable on accounting and closing procedures, but also SAP Fico, SAP MM, BI Cognos and budget tools advanced knowledge as well as Excel & Powerpoint.
  • You are able to identify new performance metrics. Previous exposure to AI and Advanced Analytics solutions is a plus.
  • You are able to prioritize and work in cross-functional matrix organization
  • You developed both strong analytical and communication skills and enjoy interacting with and influencing management and stakeholders. You thrive when explaining differences and recommending solutions.
  • You share with UCB a genuine care and motivation to improve patient’s lives.
