Job Description

As a Principal Scientist :

  • Consistently partner with the external sources of innovation to explore external solutions and establish partnerships to deliver better solutions to the market more quickly.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding and commitment to Laboratory Safety practices and a safe work environment
  • Work on changes to existing work methods to improve performances
  • Create plans that are consistent with functional strategies
  • Anticipate challenges and opportunities

The Successful Applicant

As a Principal Scientist :

  • Advanced degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer or Material Science is required.
  • At least 7 years of Specialty Chemical/Materials Technology Leadership experience
  • Minimum 3 years of managerial experience
  • Knowledge about the chemical process involved in Carbon B.lack production and related applications
  • Track record of converting research concepts to commercialization by leveraging internal and external knowledge.
  • Recognized strengths must include Teamwork, Collaboration, and a high level of Customer Focus.
  • Familiar with current "best practice" Ideation and Innovation Processes ideally as applied to product development for consumer.
  • Effective interfacing and building relationships with Customers, Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance and Business Management personnel.
  • Excellent communication skill in English and French Language, organization, and presentation skills
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated, result-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic multicultural and diverse environment
