Role of the Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the image of AVT & ESKO in front of our customers.

Your main activities will be to perform Maintenance, Service and Installation visits at customer site, mainly in Belgium, Netherlands, North of France and West Germany but potentially in Europe as well.

In addition, you will also perform trainings to customers in their premises and in our Vision Center In Gent (Belgium).

Responsibilities
  • Perform onsite troubleshooting, installation, maintenance or training.
  • By showing professionalism and being a trusted representative of AVT, the FSE helps overall on Services Sales
  • Accurately report your activity on site. Daily / Weekly.
  • Involved in Services promotion, the FSE gives feedback to the organization if he/she sees an opportunity.
Key Requirements
  • 2 Year degree in Technical University / School or equivalent
  • Being able to work independently at customer site
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent reactivity, dynamism, tenacity, autonomy and motivational skills.
  • Enjoy traveling in the country or in Europe (Travel estimated at 80% to 90% of the working time)
Language Requirements
  • Dutch
  • French mandatory ( Being able to understand and be understood )
  • English mandatory (Being able to understand and be understood)
  • Other European languages are a plus
