To strenghten our Legal Office, and more specifically our Privacy & Confidentiality Office, we are looking for a Privacy & Confidentiality Professional.

• Assist internal clients across Deloitte Belgium with respect to privacy and confidentiality matters and questions (serve as a subject matter expert);
• Provide support and guidance for the (Personal) Data Protection Assessment Services, such as:
  • Detailed review of technology applications, apps and third party software
  • Conduct confidentiality and privacy impact assessments (PIA, DPIA,…)
  • Assist the Deloitte business units in the development of IT products embedding privacy and confidentiality by design
• Serve as a point of escalation for contracting issues related to data protection and confidentiality and keep data protection agreement templates for the business and internal departments with partners/providers/subcontractors up to date and assist in contract negotiations in accordance with the Deloitte guidelines related to data protection and confidentiality (3rd line of defense)
• Support the deployment of the data protection and confidentiality compliance program in accordance with the guidelines of the Privacy and Confidentiality Office and in cooperation with the global Deloitte network (includes insider threat management and confidentiality risk assessment process);
• Manage, implement, support and help develop the privacy and confidentiality files (a.o. projects and processes)
• Assist in incident management (respond to and mitigate confidentiality and privacy incidents by gathering facts, initiate response activities, engage other departments, escalate to leadership, advise on notification requirements and follow up on lessons learned) and related reporting in accordance with the applicable guidelines
• Assist in internal audits with respect to compliance with the privacy and confidentiality programs
• Assist in the development and roll-out of privacy and confidentiality awareness and training initiatives within Deloitte Belgium
• Monitor the developments in data/privacy/confidentiality law and case law

Let’s talk about you

• Master or bachelor’s degree in Law
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of or interest in new technologies and data regulation
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken (good knowledge of French is an asset)
• Business behavior
  • Business-oriented, practical, pragmatic with a no-nonsense and hardworking attitude
  • Team player
  • Good/excellent interpersonal skills
  • Driver, able to multi-task, have excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive documents
  • Ability to translate legal and technical requirements to business language
  • Eager to follow the privacy and technology trends
  • Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
