Product Owner – Functional Validation & Performance

About The Role

As a Product Owner, you will technically lead the Functional Validation & Performance (FV&P) team in achieving the functional performance of products through a robust validation approach. You will drive calibration activities utilizing state-of-the-art tools and methodologies. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will strategically prioritize activities to optimize performance within defined boundaries and deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive functional validation plans, ensuring successful execution of ongoing activities.
  • Understand and translate in-depth customer requirements into actionable deliverables.
  • Define and monitor required calibration activities to meet functional performance targets
  • Align priorities in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with project leads, scrum masters, and module leads to achieve project milestones.
  • Lead technical discussions with customers to ensure alignment on departmental objectives
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and across stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on technical project status, activities, priorities, and blockers.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art tools to enhance quality and efficiency in the calibration and validation processes
  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality reports and take responsibility for signing off on calibration releases.
  • Contribute to the department’s long-term vision and strategic planning.
  • Support the definition and deployment of necessary tools and software for efficient operations

Qualifications

  • A visionary mindset with creativity and a drive for innovation.
  • Strong ability to learn and adapt to new skills and technologies.
  • Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software validation and calibration processes.
  • A successful track record of leading technical initiatives.
  • Expertise in drivability evaluation or calibration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of automotive product development processes.
  • High adaptability to dynamic, fast-paced environments while maintaining focus on objectives.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; French proficiency is a plus.
  • Strong reporting and documentation capabilities.
  • European Driver’s License
  • Experience with following tools:
    • VECTOR CANape / ETAS INCA
    • Matlab (Simulink/Stateflow)
    • AVL-CRETA
    • AVL-Drive
    • AVL-CAMEO
