TO DO
As Production Manager, you have full responsibility over the organisation of production. You are the indispensable link between management and production employees. Together with 5 Group leaders, you manage a team of about 330 production employees and steer the production process in the right direction. Besides the day-to-day monitoring and management of production, you will also actively participate in thinking about process optimisations, you are a born problem solver and you sensitise employees in the field of hygiene and safety.
Production management
- You are able to draw up a correct production forecast based on sales results and prospects.
- You manage the day-to-day production processes and monitor the results. You keep the total inventory under control.
- You are responsible for the correct implementation and follow-up of the QESH policies and follow up CAPEX projects together with the Technical Manager.
- You are responsible for establishing a short-term and long-term operational plan.
- You supervise external audits and ensure the follow-up of action plans and you contribute to obtaining and maintaining licences and accreditations of e.g. suppliers.
People Management
- You coach the production team by motivating, guiding and assisting them in achieving short- and long-term objectives, while monitoring and promoting team spirit.
- You monitor on a high level the daily organisation of the different production departments (staffing, leave, etc.).
- You contribute to a constructive and respectful organisational culture in which employee satisfaction and coaching of your management team are key.
Change Management
- You initiate and lead projects on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- You initiate and follow up automation projects and ensure standardisation of processes.
TO BE
- You have a Master’s degree or equivalent experience of at least 8 years in a managerial role within a production environment, preferably in the food industry.
- You have experience with automation projects. A first experience in change management gives you a head start.
- You are a born motivational leader who can work both strategically and detail-oriented. In addition, you are entrepreneurial, flexible, proactive and result-oriented.
- You have broad technical knowledge and a good knowledge of Ms-office. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- You are preferably bilingual (NL-FR) and have an excellent knowledge of English.
