Job Purpose
Our Information Technology organization is increasing its capacity and capabilities to play an even more integral role in the definition and execution of key elements of Bridgestone EMIA expansion plan and digital transformation.
As a member of the IT Customer & Commerce team, you will support Business leadership as new initiatives are released between the different business units inside the organization. You will have end to end accountability on the digital deliverables and will serve as a single point of contact to build high-performance projects/products and ensuring smooth integrations.
You will be accountable for the high level functional & technical analysis at the same time than the holistic solution design of future capabilities and features, in collaboration with internal architects & products owners. You will manage stakeholders and follow up during implementation phases and ensure correct lifecycles & maintenance/support models are in place.
You are an hands-on IT profile with good 360° understanding and interested in functional & technical domains, that appreciate working closely with Business in a matrix organization. You understand business needs especially in a Retail environment and you manage expectations. You do not fear to take ownership on removing obstacles, thinking out of the box and proposing new solutions.
Responsibilities
- Establish solid relationships between Business management, Bridgestone IT organization & Retail BU at strategical & tactical level. Work with the different stakeholders to define the roadmap for any given products, solutions or integrations. Lead meetings such as business management/IT alignment reviews and project kickoffs with external partners.
- Gather business problems statement & requirements and work with internal architects to define the possible solution designs until the initiative approval. Lead a collaborative, dynamic priority assessment process to ensure alignment of our capabilities & resources.
- Lead the selection (RFP) of delivery partners, manage relationship with IT delivery and infrastructure partners involved on the project. Review and challenge both functional and technical designs, oversee testing and provide valid results to business for their final decision making.
- Foster team communication, create easy channels of communication and handle any difference in opinion. Facilitate decision-making, issue resolution and consensus among the team members and dependent teams. Embrace a leadership role and support the team by proactively identifying and removing roadblocks
- Balance personal ownership and accountability of immediate responsibilities with the flexibility and drive to jump in and fill gaps across the team as they arise. Drive adoption and use of the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies for solution development, leveraging re-use of developed components and assets as appropriate and convenient.
- Build proper solution lifecycles and lead our continuous improvement journey and ensure successful transfer to maintenance/support mode.
- Degree expected: Master or equivalent in Computer Science
- 10 years’ experience in IT domains such as Program management, Technical Lead, or Lead Business Analyst.
- Previous work experience in Retail environment is a plus
- Strong values in line with Bridgestone’s behavioral expectations (= Involvement, Commitment, Ownership, Teamwork, & Flexibility), with business acumen and customer focus. You are a clear and good communicator, with People & Stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding and ability to navigate in complex multinational and matrix base organization, being highly skilled at working cross-functionally and building processes, communication and trust across teams
- Strong sense of ownership and track record of quality work, planning & organizational skills, embraces and leads change and innovation, creativity, excellent analytical, technical, and problem solving skills.
- Be open to international working experiences, with availability to travel. Expressing your values and opinions in fluent English. Fluency in other European languages is considered a Plus.
- Proven project management skills, expertise with Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach, and technology enablers such as API, microservices, application networks, etc. Expertise with Microsoft Azure infrastructure design and resource management.
- Be hands-on and follow development [VB1] to help the team to develop the solution and solve all surfacing problems at hand. Show technical proficiency in the field of mobility, IoT, big data and analytics, and cloud technologies, in order to establish trust and rapport with IT, Security, initiative’s stakeholders and the operational team.
